Strata lucidum and corneum - Thick skin

Thick skin, located on the fingertips, palms and soles of the feet, has a much thicker stratum corneum. Additionally, a stratum lucidum is present between the stratum granulosum and the stratum corneum. The stratum lucidem is a clear layer of non-nucleated, flattened cells, and is considered a subdivision of the stratum corneum. 100x
