Multipolar neuron

The nucleus, nucleolus and Nissl substance (RER and polysomes) are located in the cell body of a neuron.  Also seen are two dendrites and an axon, the latter of which lacks RER.  The space around the cell body is a common artifact of nervous tissue.  Numerous glial cell nuclei are also present.  1000x
