Fibrocartilage

Fibrocartilage, with its irregularly arranged fibers, is difficult to differentiate from dense irregular connective tissue. Rounded chondrocytes, frequently with visible cytoplasm and lacunae, differentiate fibrocartilage from connective tissue proper.
