Basophils, the major cell type in this image, consist of gonadotropes (secreting follicle stimulating hormone, FSH, and luteinizing hormone, LH), thyrotrophs (secreting thyroid stimulating hormone, TSH), and adrenocorticotropes (secreting adrenocorticotropic hormone, ACTH).
