Glycogen
Cells store glucose in the form of glycogen granules. Glycogen granules, which can be present individually or in small clusters, are not surrounded by membranes and they are highly electron dense. Glycogen granules are present in nearly all cells, but are most abundant in liver cells and skeletal muscle fibers.
