Uterus: secretory phase (Days 14-26)
The secretory phase begins following ovulation. Uterine glands are actively secreting and the corpus luteum in the ovary is secreting progesterone and estrogen. During the early portion of the secretory phase (shown here), the endometrium is thicker than during the proliferative stage and the glands are more sacculated; spiral arteries are present, but are not highly coiled. 10x, 10x
