Blood: Lymphocyte
Lymphocytes are agranular leucocytes with a spherical, heterochromatic nucleus and very little cytoplasm. While small lymphocytes with minimal cytoplasm predominate in blood, medium and large lymphocytes with larger nuclei and more abundant cytoplasm are also present. Lymphocytes can be either T cells or B cells, however, these two varieties cannot be distinguished without special immunospecific staining methods. In tissues, B cells further differentiate into antibody-secreting plasma cells. 1000x
