Bronchiole

At higher magnification the components of the wall of a bronchiole are apparent. This is a larger bronchiole because it is lined by pseudostratified columnar epithelium with cilia and goblet cells. Abundant, longitudinally arranged elastic fibers are located beneath the epithelium. The smooth muscle layer is composed of spiraling bands of smooth muscle. 200x
