Clusters of endocrine cells
Clusters of steroid-secreting cells (called Leydig cells) are located between the seminiferous tubules of the testis, where they secrete androgens. The cytoplasm of these cells is filled with the lipid droplets typical of steroid-secreting cells. The ovary in the female also contains clusters of steroid-secreting cells. 400x
