Interventricular septum

The interventricular septum, separating the two ventricles, consists of muscular and membranous portions. Also shown are aortic and right atrioventricular valves, the cardiac skeleton and the conducting system (in blue).  The box in the left diagram shows the region where the micrograph (right) was taken; the central diagram is an illustration of the micrograph.  10x
