Prostate

The single prostate gland, composed of 30-50 individual glands, shows considerable variability in individual glands. The secretory units vary in diameter, with many showing dilatations. Prostatic concretions, probably precipitates of secretory products, accumulate with age and may calcify; concretions are diagnostic for the prostate. 10x
